Michael Diebold's medical needs

Donation protected
On Saturday night, June 24, Michael Diebold, a new father, step-father, fiance (to Danielle Reinke) and police chief of Leechburg, Pa, was gravely injured in a fireworks explosion. A licensed and trained fireworks professional, Michael was putting on a fireworks display for the Leechburg carnival when something went terribly wrong.

Michael, who lost half of his left arm and suffered other injuries, was lifeflighted to Mercy Hospital and went straight into surgery that night.  His arm below the elbow could not be saved, but fortunately, Michael is now stable but faces a long recovery.  He remains in the burn unit and will likely be hospitalized, with additional surgeries, for the next few weeks.

News story

So many people have asked what they can do for Michael, including people who don't live in the community that has rallied so generously around him. So, this page has been set up to help the family with medical expenses and the other expenses associated with a loved one being in the hospital. The benefit of a Go Fund Me is that you know with certainty that the funds raised will make it to Michael Diebold and his fiancée Danielle Reinke.

We have set this page up because, as members of their extended family, we are looking to help in some small way by opening this up to the broader community.

Any and all amounts help!
