Help Emma Fight Brain Cancer

This is my best friend, Sarah with her daughter Emma.
Sarah and her husband, Ian Reid, have three children (Emma, Jenna & Ethan) and live in Nanaimo, BC. Emma is 14-years old and was just diagnosed with a complex brain tumor in her parietal lobe.
After months of strange neurological symptoms, she finally had an MRI on March 6th. Monday morning (March 7th) the pediatrician called with the results, and by March 10th they were at BC Children's hospital. The neurologists say it doesn't look good, the tumor is quite complex.
March 29th Emma underwent a long surgery to remove most of the tumour. Follow up biopsies confirmed the worst. The tumor is malignant -- a stage three Anaplastic Glioma located in her left parital lobe.
Since this form of cancer is known to be both aggressive and fast growing, radiation followed by up to a year of chemotherapy will begin immediately at BC Children's hospital in Vancouver.
Travel costs, daycare and lost wages will make this already stressful time an unnessasey challenge; a challenge parents should never have to worry about at such times.
On a side note, Sarah was just about to complete her Nursing degree after four years of hard work. Unfortunately, this diagnosis has come one month before graduation.
With this huge set back, along with the massive expenses of having a sick child at BC Children's, I am asking you to please help this family out. $5, $10 $20 $100, honestly anything will help ease the burden and allow the family to focus on what really matters, being there for, Emma!
In the kindess way, I ask you not to bother the family with words of condolences. They do not need constant reminders of the situation at this time. :)
