I am writing and producing a brand-new Podcast to help everyone think more creatively and bridge our social divide. I need your support to make this into a reality.
My Background
My name is York Campbell the host of the Poet Earthlings podcast, Poeticearthlings.podbean.com this is a daily show comprised of short stories and poems. Each episode is brief and designed to motivate, entertain and inspire the listener to view the world from a different perspective. Stories can lift us from the humdrum of modernity, and from the rigmarole of existence.
Stories is not an escape from reality,
on the contrary it’s a way to tackle our everyday challenges and come out victorious. A part of us could identify with the hero or sympathize with the villain. I have always relied on stories to make sense of this world from a well written book to a well-crafted movie. I started writing my own stories at a very early age, it was mostly science fiction at the time, after that I wrote songs and hundreds of poems.
I’m a late bloomer, it seems that every meaningful thing happened later in life, this includes publishing my first book, Universe Splendor.
Why Podcasting?
I had my favorite talk radio shows, when I was introduced to podcasting this was a huge came changer. Instead of scheduling I could listen on demand, pause and rewind. How convenient.
And for those, like myself that has ADHD, this is a significant benefit.
ADHD varies for each person, for me my thoughts tend to scatter, so the ability to pause a show and listen at my convenience is a blessing.
I started podcasting over a year ago.
My reassures were at a bare minimal along with my confidence, but I knew that waiting for right conditions may never arrive. If I studied all the roadblocks, looked at all the mountains I would never have started. At the beginning it was difficult. Painful. Lonely. No one was tuning in to listen to this akward Canadian.
Many times I felt like throwing in the towel, but I persisted like the pre historic squirrel on Ice Age chasing after the elusive acorn. Things picked up until I had a worldwide listenership. Thank you if you are one of those listeners.
What’s Next?
My new podcast, Creative Earthlings, is a show designed to help everyone find and target their creative energy. I believe creativity is not owned by the writers, visual artist, actors and photographers. Rather its for the plumbers, janitors, stay at home moms, and like them or hate them layers and politicians. In short creativity is for everyone.
This will be a weekly show to guide you out of creative droughts, and to push you to think outside of your three-dimensional prism. I will show you how to take a so-called crazy idea and bring it into reality. The show will also address mental health issues and other obstacles that may interfere with the creative life.
What’s Needed?
I have written several episodes, worked on a pre-launch campaign and have the major platforms in place, including Apple Podcast, Stitcher Radio, Google Podcast and many others. What I need is the recording equipment and a computer to make the show sound crystal clear.

Time Frame?
Depending on your financial support I would like to launch this podcast later this year. The first item needed is a computer, the second is an external microphone.
