"Help Fight New Wave of Voter Suppression!"
The Transformative Justice Coalition ("TJC") is a one-year-old racial justice organization devoted to fighting racial injustice, particularly voter suppression, police brutality, race/gender inequality, and economic injustice.
Most Americans are unaware of a new wave of 85 voter suppression measures that are moving in 30 state legislatures across the country. Those committed to voter suppression are taking steps right now to ensure that voters are unable to participate effectively in the upcoming 2018 elections. We must act now to stop this! TJC is determined to raise awareness about these bills so that these it can expose, organize, and defeat them. It's important for people in these states to be aware of what's happening. To this end , TJC is not only preparing informational materials through its social media and on its website and in conjunction with the Voting Rights Alliance; but TJC is also spreading information and disseminating resources through podcasts and Facebook Live Events. The Voting Rights Alliance is also mobilizing with other organizations in many of these states, For the first phase of this campaign, TJC needs to raise $10,000. Everyone's gift is appreciated and no gift is too small to make a difference.
