Kalyn's Farewell Fundraiser
Warm Summer Greetings!!
My name is Isaac Borjas. I am a friend of Kalyn.
After getting to know her, falling totally in love with her personality/light, I have felt so moved to try to do SOMETHING for her current situation (for those of you who don't know her story, please read on...)
I am a general manager with Starbucks Coffee. This GoFundMe campaign is being paired with an in-person benefit on Tuesday, August 15th in Ventura, California at the Cosmotion Holistic Dance/Fitness & Movement Center.
Before getting into the details of that event... to bring you up to speed:
Due to extenuating circumstances, including her rapidly declining health, Kalyn is returning to Canada to be closer to her kids and to continue battling an Autoimmune disease that causes debilatating chronic pain.
This fundraiser is in response to those who have asked for a way to contribute money. These funds are desperately needed. We are also very grateful for all the thoughtful ways people are already helping out. Every gesture has been felt -- from providing packing supplies, luggage, etc, to simply offering emotional support. It has all been deeply appreciated and a huge comfort.
The $5,000 goal of this fundraiser aims to cover immediate and transitional costs while she gets settled after her big move back to Canada. Any additional contributions would be greatly appreciated as financial assistance for her medical expenses as she continues to focus on her health challenges.
A little more about Kalyn…
Kalyn has lived and thrived in Ventura for the last 12+ years after relocating during traumatic, personal life circumstances. Cosmotion (Dance Center) provided a safe sanctuary where Kalyn, as well as countless others, discovered the freedom of self expression through movement, and the transformational magic of connection through dance ~ even though she didn’t have a rhythmic bone in her body when she began! The Cosmotion NIA community became her new home and extended family.

While living in California, Kalyn has experienced tremendous loss from the passing of her beloved brother, both parents, and a long-term marriage. She has also found great joy and growth in new experiences, including self development while becoming a certified Integrative Coach through the Debbie Ford Institute of Transformational Training. She created a new life for herself.
And now it's time to do it again!
Kalyn very much intends to win this challenge, to regain her strength and vitality, and get back out into the world, so she can continue to bring her tremendous gifts and passion for supporting others in healing their hearts.
