For the Gamer Good!

Gaming is currently one of the most popular hobbies in the United States. There are many social problems in the gaming world...and I want to change that. I want to raise the moral standards in the gaming community by raising awareness and educating gamers on how to help improve the community as a whole.

A majority of gamers can recall horrible experiences that have happened to them, their friends, or their family members. For me, I see my girlfriend harassed regularly just for having a feminine online gamer name. The two of us are also raising a little gamer. He will be entering the online gaming world before too long and we are not looking forward to bullying he will face for being young or new to a game. Sexism, racism, elitism, and bullying in general are far too commonplace.

The Plan:
1. Go undercover to experience gaming from different points of view.
2. Interview key members of the gaming community to provide eye witness testimony regarding different concerns.
3. Create a website where gamers can collaborate on ways to improve the gaming community as well as provide input on research projects through the use of polls and surveys.
4. Review news articles and explore informative venues to gather relevant data.
5. Provide unbiased video evidence on my findings through a series of YouTube videos.

To get started comfortably, I have set my monetary goal at $500.  I think we can raise more, but this is what I need to get the project going!

The donations I receive will go towards:
- Domain and web hosting costs
- Website and video logo
- Graphical video introduction
- Website design
- Advertising costs for increasing campaign awareness (website banners)
- Various gaming costs (for research purposes only, ex. attaining an MMO account for undercover experiments)

1. Should the donation amount exceed my goal point, funding overflow will go towards improving video quality, improving research methods, and maintaining established media outlets.
