Help Save Christian Union Church

Christian Union Church has been at the heart of our community for over 135 years.  Located in the center of the village of West Groton, Massachusetts, Christian Union Church brings us together for worship, to celebrate life's joys and passages, to comfort those in need, and to serve the community. Our monthly church suppers have been a tradition of West Groton fellowship for many decades, and our historic building embodies the humility, beauty, and friendliness of rural New England.

Covid-19 hit us hard.  While we have continued to hold worship services online, it has been a great challenge to sustain ourselves financially and maintain our historic building.  We have long depended on church suppers, yard sales, bake sales, local fundraisers, and weekly donations. While we have worked to find creative ways to make up for these losses we find ourselves struggling to survive.

Your donation will help support a church that is open and affirming, welcome to all, and committed to outreach and social justice. It will help sustain a place of faith that is part of the fabric of its small, rural community, and that brings light and togetherness during this difficult time.

Specifically, we will use your generous donations to repair and repaint the exterior of the beautiful church structure, as well as complete necessary interior repairs to support our worship and outreach services.
