MyCannaWorks App

MyCannaWorks is a smartphone and computer based application that will allow secure collection of patient experiences on the positive or negative effects of Medical Cannabis (THC, CBD and combinations). The information will be compiled to share with patients, practitioners, caretakers, support groups and the general public.

One of the greatest barriers to the use of Medical Cannabis (MC) is the lack of rigorous clinical studies to define treatment parameters for cannabinoids in different medical conditions.  MC is still categorized as a Schedule I drug by the DEA. Clinical researchers face insurmountable barriers to obtain cannabis or federal funding for human research. The goal of MyCannaWorks is to compile data directly from Medical Cannabis patients on their usage and outcomes related to their medical condition. While this format is not as rigorous as a clinical trial funded by the National Institutes of Health, the arm of the federal government that supports clinical drug trials, or big pharma, it will capture valuable and vetted information on the use of MC in different diseases. Information collected by MyCannaWorks will be analyzed to provide an evidence based framework for the use of MC in medicine.

Our goal is to create a portal that will connect patients, medical practitioners and caregivers to enable timely communication and feedback on medical cannabis and optimization of products and dosage in specific medical conditions. Feedback on specific medical conditions will be obtained using questionnaires developed for individual medical conditions like epilepsy, chronic pain, insomnia, cancer, palliative care, PTSD, etc.

MyCannaWorks is different from other cannabis based smartphone apps as it will collect information on Medical Cannabis effectiveness based on the dose and frequency of THC and CBD usage – not on the effect of a specific cannabis strain.

Allegiance Wellness Center is a San Diego City-approved and permitted facility. We have worked with Medical Cannabis patients for the past 6 years. Our focus has been exclusively on recommendation of cannabis products for specific medical conditions. We provide extensive consultation and follow-up for all of our customers. We need $30,000 to fund software development to fully realize a functional version of MyCannaWorks.  As a “Thank You” for the contribution, you will get early access to the Beta version of the software for evaluation.
