"OK, I'm Leaving" Short Film

I’m Robin Johnson, a writer, director and actress from Los Angeles, CA & I have been making short films for a few years now.   My team and I are seeking funds to complete our romantic period piece with a twist called "OK, I'm Leaving". It's a great short film we plan to submit to festivals this year after we complete post production with your help! Your donation gets your name credited in the film.

I’ve been so blessed to have a hardworking, talented team of 18 come on to help me create my newest film called “OK, I’m Leaving”. Some of the same team from my last film “Colored Hearts”. Link below.

What is “OK, I’m Leaving” About?

This is a story about two ghosts, Tedd (Junot Lee) and Sheila (Robin Johnson) who join forces to overcome their traumatic pasts and try to pass on to “the other side”.

We have an amazingly talented and beautifully diverse cast and crew that love making films and really need your support to successfully complete telling this timely, heartfelt story.

We are seeking funding for one more day of filming plus post production costs - Editor, Composer, Sound mixer/ADR and our Festival fees.

I have tried funding this project on my own and it has been a huge struggle. I currently drive Lyft and find other side jobs when possible but it has been hard for me to make ends meet & simultaneously fund a film by myself. Thankfully we’ve had family and friends make some donations to the film but we have one more day of filming needed and I am asking for your help.

When you support this film you are investing in the future of our diverse cast and crew, female directors as well as a passionate and well told story about love and overcoming ones circumstances.

In total, I am asking for $7,000 to take care of my cast & crew, 1 more day of filming, equipment rentals, food for cast and crew, our post production costs to pay an editor, a sound mixer and composer as well as film festival submission costs.
