Hello, my name is Rodney Dyess, "I am the President and Co-founder of The Homeless Ministry of Brooksville Inc., which is faith-based." Bob Francis and I resigned from the board of another local ministry, and we formed THMOB Inc., which is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
The main reason for starting this ministry was to focus on "giving the homeless a hand up," And for almost three years this is what THMOB continues to do. Weekly THMOB furnishes, bags of food, dog/cat food, bread, clothing, personal hygiene items, tents, sleeping bags, and other essential items. THMOB also assist Veterans with Veterans Administration (VA), information, and contacts. THMOB's goal is to end homelessness in Brooksville; that means finding jobs, helping with GED's, rehabilitation through programs like Alcohol Anonymous(AA)), Narcotics Anonymous(NA).
THMOB needs a building or land, for offices, showers, and the internet. That is the reason for this go fund me account. This money will help us to continue growing and assist with classes, Bible study groups, showers, emergency shelter for children, and much more, because let's face it, there is a limit on what we can do out of truck beds and car trunks.
I have a huge heart for the homeless because I too have been homeless. Sometimes ending homelessness is as simple as locating a job, or knowing where to go for the help you are seeking.
