Tim's Medical Rehabilitation

Hi everyone,  Tim is our son and step-son. There is one thing you can say about Tim, and that is, to know him is to love him. His personality will win you over for life, it's just the way he is. Tim is one of the most caring people in the world, he has always been happy for his brother, his nieces and nephews, and his parents. Notice, I didn't say happy for himself, and there is a reason for that, it's because he has not been happy for himself. Tim has been trapped under a 100+ pound mass below his abdomen now for many years. He was walking as of January 7th but the hospital he went to after calling 911 was not equipped for someone his size and he wound up in bed and is now unable to walk, he's in a different hospital now but they are just starting to even try and stand at all. He's been turned down for surgical removal many times until he loses a couple hundred more pounds and is mobile.

He is very determined to change his life and try to help others who struggle with food and weight issues. This will not be a quick or easy road for Tim, he is looking at months of recovery and rehabilitation in order to become mobile again, some at the hospital but most of it at home. The plan now is to try and get him up and able to walk up to 50ft so he can come home as he'll never be more than 30ft from a seat. We can't afford to remodel as we are both on fixed incomes which is part of why we are doing this, his only option for showering and using the bathroom will be a makeshift bathroom on our deck, probably using shower curtains and some poles, my husband here Bruce is pretty handy, luckily winter is almost over so it should suffice assuming we can eventually get what he needs. So for Tim to succeed in his forthcoming journey, there are some things he will need, which is the reason for this GFM campaign. Please read below, and know that we appreciate you taking the time follow Tims story. Above all else, please keep Tim in your thoughts and prayers, this world needs Tim, so that he can move forward and share his journey with others that suffer from eating disorders. You can see his YouTube video channel here www.youtube.com/persistenttim

Tim’s Needs
- Bathroom remodel to accommodate Tims hygiene needs (he cannot wait to take a shower) this will involve a walk-in shower to replace the tub, a job Bruce can handle with a little help. This will be essential for Tim to keep wounds clean, and prevent further problems.
- Medical and exercise equipment to aide in his rehab, ability to walk, and finally take care of himself again. Including a wheel chair so he can at least get out some, a walker, rails in the home, furniture that can safely hold him etc.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and God bless!
