The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that blocked off a portion of Cummings Highway today.

The crash was reported in the 2100 block around 4:20 p.m.

Matt Lea, spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office, says the driver of the bike was killed and the passenger is critical after a vehicle swerved into the lane the pair was riding in.

The motorcycle hit a guardrail, throwing both the driver and passenger from it.

Lea says the driver pronounced dead on the scene; the passenger was flown by LifeForce to a hospital.

The Sheriff's Office is looking for any information that will lead to the driver of the black vehicle described as having a bumper sticker on the right rear bumper with blue writing.

If you know anything, please contact the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office at [phone redacted].
