Almonte Skatepark Project

Help us break ground for phase one of the Almonte Skatepark! The Almonte Skatepark project is a committee of parents, business owners, council members, and kids who have been working hard to make our town a friendlier place for skateboarders and other riders. The town has graciously donated a 10,270 square foot piece of land for us to build the skatepark on. Phase one will take up 2,775 square feet, cost $140,000 and is just the first step in what will be an amazing skatepark. We are hoping to break ground for the first phase in 2016. We have completed Geo-technical testing on the land and Spectrum Skateparks has completed the design for the park. The community has been involved in many fundraisers including youth dances, car wash, bottle drives, BBQ’s, an event called “Conquer the Concrete” and another event called “Let the Good Times Roll” with live music and a silent auction. Also, many local businesses support our project and have also donated funds and materials to make it happen. We have an amazing committee full of dedicated people that will see this project through to it’s end. Our committee has accomplished a lot over the past 3 years but we need your help to make the final stages a reality.
Our youth need a safe place to be active and have fun!
