Buddy's Tooth Extraction

Donation protected

Hello! I'm Buddy. I'm a "lab mix" who's full of love, and Lisa's best friend.

Please don't tell my mommy, Lisa, about this fund! This is our little secret. She would be embarrassed to ask for help, but she deserves it more than anyone.

The Short Story:
I have an infected tooth that needs to come out. My mom has end-stage breast cancer, and I bring the most joy in her life. She can't work because the cancer and pain are too advanced. She will probably be put on a payment plan for my tooth extraction, but it's just another thing she has to worry about. Anything will help!

— If you can't afford to donate, sharing my GoFundMe is just as appreciated!—

The Full Story:
I have an infected tooth that really hurts. I keep pawing at it, but it won't go away. I'm even having trouble eating, and I'm not excited to go for walks anymore. The vet says that I need to get the tooth out.

This is very scary for me, because I'm getting old. In fact, I'm 13-year-old, a senior. Some dog moms would give up on me, but my mom is different.

I met my mom when she was having a really hard time. My mom's had metastatic cancer throughout her body before I even met her. She was checked into Hospice once, but she refused to live like she was sick. With end-stage cancer, she has a hard time waking up with hypercalcemia and lots of pain, especially in her back. But when she saw me, abandoned at the shelter, she said she found her best friend — a reason to wake up in the morning. When she's having a "good day" she takes me to the dog park for a very long time and I show her I love her by cuddling up to her at night.

So, she says she can't give up on me. Because I won't give up on her.

My mom said the vet said it would be about $700. It seems pretty steep, but it may be because I'm a senior dog, and the infection seems pretty bad.

For some people, $700 might not be that much money. But, my mom can't work because her cancer and pain are too advanced, and she has lots of medical expenses too.

I'm trying to raise $500 for my mom, and her daughter, Paige, will donate the other $200 if it comes to be that much money. I may get the tooth out as soon as possible so that I don't get more sick, but my mom will still be put on a payment plan to afford the procedure.

Anything you can donate at all counts. Help me give my mom the break she deserves, and ensure that I don't get too sick so that I can stay best friends with my mom until the end.

With so much love,
Buddy.
