Everyone has a dream and a purpose in life; that one particular mission to accomplish in the grander scope of life. It is usually entirely up to the respective person to then rise above their circumstances and actualize their goals by working tirelessly to achieve their dreams. That said, it takes a special blend of courage, resilience, determination, ambition, and motivation to get out of one’s comfort zone and begin the journey of discovery; risking everything for a reward/ benefit that is unknown as of yet. But what is life without taking risks, delighting in the adventure of trying different things and learning in the process? Since it is by failing and rising again that our flexibility and capacity for adapting is uncovered, and it is by succeeding that our ability to facilitate great outcomes and maintain trends is tested. And this is all the more precious when you find that special someone who will stand by and with your every step of the way. This is what forms the basis of our story as a couple that is not only united in love and family, but also in having our interests aligned business-wise. We are both Black Women with a great passion for helping others and as such, have dedicated our lives to making a difference in the lives of others. To further enhance our mission, we each own companies strengthened by being Black-Owned, woman-owned, and LGBTQ-owned as we serve a much higher calling that fate and destiny have conspired to honor us with. WE ARE OUR ANCESTORS' WILDEST DREAMS! Both companies create and sell an exclusive inspired selection of herbal apothecary goods, herbal cosmetics personal products, and unique handcrafted jewelry. We also offer a wide spectrum of services such as energy balancing, wellness coaching, and workshop facilitation. However, Millenheirs is an eclectic lifestyle brand that orients towards offering unisex solutions whereas Love & Light Healing orients towards responding to women: partner companies that form a yin and yang relationship. Our products are handcrafted and made of natural raw materials. Most importantly, everything we make is intentionally chosen to elevate your mind, body, and spirit! There comes a time in any business person’s career that they then recognize the need to evolve and diversify in order to meet the ever-changing needs of their customers while striving to adapt to the changes in the market which is always dynamic. Seeing as both our companies take pride in offering bespoke solutions which are personalized to meet individual, family, and group needs, we arrived at the mutual decision that we had to find a way to expand our product and service. We have decided to step fully into manifesting our dream, offering to better serve the community. This was grounded on the acknowledgement that our 20+ years of combined experience in retail, management, customer service, and providing services/products geared towards the conscious consumer coupled with our community-based mindset is what truly makes us original, innovative, and growth-oriented. This has been a passionate dream of ours for the last 5 years and one that we had been working towards for a very long time. But as is normal with life, life evolved. We had to defer our dream several times because of sacrifices we had to make to come to the aid of family. We helped take care of family members who were not able to manage on their own, took our lovely nieces into our home and provided full time care among other instances where we needed to intervene. Through it all, the desire to still realize our dream burned brighter and stronger with each passing day. Finally, the day we have always been looking forward to draws closer. We are now mentally and emotionally AND SPIRITUALLY at a point in which we can focus on our dreams. In addition, we have found just the perfect location that will allow us to expand and thrive unrestrictedly as both our companies merge into the space to sell apothecary goods, organic cosmeceuticals, and hand-crafted personal care products intentionally curated for the wellbeing of the mind, body, and, soul of the conscious consumer. We are absolutely passionate about what we do, which makes the value we add all the more invaluable and exceptional. Our operating and competitive advantage is that with your kind help, we will be the only retail space of its kind in the region making and carrying the comprehensive assortment of products we sell from the metaphysical to botanicals in all forms, shapes, and sizes. Not only will we feature our current items and services, the bigger space will generously accommodate the upcoming lineup of dozens of other products that we currently have in the works. This translates into more non-toxic alternatives to all local customers who prefer chemical-free products and more organic alternatives to synthetic medicinal products for minor ailments even as we provide a physical space for people to learn, heal, and grow holistically in mind, body, and soul. Simply put, the style of the space will be African imports meets boho meets men’s grooming meets herbal tea shop – a one-stop shop of diversity! And that is not all: we will also carry local artisans on top of African, Tibetan, & Indian imports. The store will double up as a community-based space and platform to promote local artisans, coaches, and practitioners who are aligned with the communities we serve. We look forward to inspiring the growth and development of small business owners, and we will also be offering affordable classes and workshops to help elevate others especially in these trying times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our aim through all of this is to enhance positivity, enlightenment, and self-empowerment for clarity and wholesome balance. We want you to enjoy your life with good vibrations! The funds raised will go towards fulfilling some foundational work that is needed to make the store habitable and attuned to our business. This will include wall repairs, HVAC, electric work, fixing display tables and shelves among other repairs. The amount will also help us secure the lease and add inventory as we initiate the realization of a longtime dream.
