Sisters pursuit for Eco-friendly life

My siser and I put together this fund because we are trying to save money and raise money to purchase 1-2 acres of land (two being ideal because of potential zoning laws) here in Virginia within the next 1-2 years for the purpose of building our permenant Eco-homes on it. Our dream and efforts will be to build small "Eco-Friendly" homes, which for so many reasons we feel is the best thing to strive for, both for the earth and to better our lives long-term. The homes are the most expensive part of the process and we would love the majority of our personal savings to just go towards that project as much as possible, which is why every penny of help we get for the land itself, even if just a $1 donation at a time will help monumentally. Every penny counts and is appreciated. We are prepared to keep this fund going for the next couple of years until we reach our goal.
More specifically the land we have been looking at and are hoping to be able to purchase is the cheaper land ranging from $10,000 to about $20,000, with some of them being in better areas then others. We know this is going to be a project that will span over several years, but the first hurdle is being able to securely purchase the land so that OUR personal financial savings and efforts can go towards the actual building of our homes.
