Into Africa: Conservation & Education
Donation protected
Hi all,
We are raising money and awareness for the wildlife conservation projects of Vision Africa Wildlife. We will be leading the predator conservation project for VAW, working with volunteers to protect threatened wildlife through tracking, as well as educating the locals about the importance of protecting the wildlife in their backyards.
Vision Africa Wildlife is a small organization in Alldays, South Africa, established in 2001 to protect predators like the cheetah. VAW now also works to conserve the enormously threatened white and black rhinos, very frequently victims of brutal poaching for their horns. Vision Africa Wildlife is sustained by volunteer participation, and any profits go straight back into expanding and improving conservation efforts.
In January, the Briershof Primary School Alldays founded by Anthony Peniston (founder VAW) and other members of the community in Alldays will be opening it's doors to K-1 students. Briershof Primary is the only multi-racial school in the area, and with no government funding, we need to sponsor the children who's families cannot afford to send them to the school. Tuition per child per year is $2,400. We will bring with us loads of school supplies, used and new, but most importantly we need to help brighten the future of as many children as we can through tuition sponsorship.
Start your year off by helping us to help these families, and the threatened wildlife in the area that we will be working tirelessly to protect.
