What can be done in just one day? A book can be read. A new career can be started. A true love can be found, but life is so much more complex than that. In the words of Gayle Forman, “We are born in one day. We die in one day. We can change in one day… Anything can happen in just one day.”
For the last 20 years, the Sulzbacher Center has been transforming lives one day at a time. So, we know firsthand that amazing things can happen in just one day. In one day at the Center, 360 individuals are sheltered, 1,600 meals are served, and more than 200 patients are seen in our clinics.
So, what can you do in just one day? You can be the reason a homeless individual can receive food and health services while living on the streets through our HOPE Teams. You can be the reason a child can go to school with confidence because of the tutoring they receive twice a week at the Center. You can be the reason a homeless family can finally transition from the shelter into their own home - all because you chose to use one day to make a difference.
This year, in honor of our 20th year in operation, we’re issuing the Sulzbacher 20/20 Challenge to raise $20,000 for our 2015 Transformations. All we ask is that you take one day from September 20th – October 15th to give back and lift up your homeless neighbors in need. Whether you purchase tickets to the event or host a fundraiser among friends, for every $20 you donate, a homeless neighbor will receive one day of comprehensive services.Visit our website for more information about the Sulzbacher Center!
