We would like to thank President Loftin for his donation of $450 to the cause.
The Aggie Cricket team (http://acc.tamu.edu/) is currently ranked #3 in all of USA leaving behind over 80 universities in American College Cricket.( http://americancollegecricket.com/2012/04/16/new-rankings/ . ) The Aggie Cricket Club has also been rated among Top 3 clubs of 2012:( http://americancollegecricket.com/2013/01/16/top-clubs-of-the-year-2012/ )
This years national championship will be held between March 13-17th 2013 Ft. Lauderdale in Florida and will have live TV coverage all over North America (http://americancollegecricket.com/2011/12/10/spring-break-championship-nationals-info/ )
Aggies have been rated as a strong contender for the national title this year.
However due to lack of financial support from the university many key players are having to back out from the tournament. If the situation continues as is team Aggies will have to forfeit their participation in the championship.
I am hereby request if you could provide any form financial support for this high impact tournament. We have planned a minimal budget cutting down any unnecessary expenditure (for eg. driving to Florida to save on flight tickets, Room sharing in cheapest form of accommodation available). The team has also pooled in money for buying their own sporting kits. An approximate itemized budget and requested support amount is mentioned below:
Any help big or small provided will be greatly appreciated by all cricket fans in Aggieland
