and foods we serve many visitors to The Nat Turner Library.
So
there will be absolutely no confusion in what we are doing...The Kujichagulia
Village is on123 acres farmland that Nat Turner was born on in 1800, from 1800
to the year 1831, he was a precocious child but a chattel slave.
During this time, he
came to understand his and Black people situation, he could not petition for
better treatment or he would have been killed...at some point he became a
Community Organizer and eventually decided that the only way he and his people
could regain their Freedom, he planner and lead a resurrection against Slave
Owners.
Kujichagulia
Village happens to be a part of the land of Nat Turners Birth. The Man Up Camp
focuses on training Young Black individuals to empower Healthy, Wealthy and
Wise Human Beings. Neither can be accomplished without having Correct Knowledge
about themselves and African history.
Since most Young Black Men and Women do
not have good Role Models, Rights of Passage Programs are designed to give them
some training about which otherwise, they may not have an essential experience
to grow to be productive Individuals. Clearly we need your help.
