Wrexham Branch is in need of a State of the Art Carriage, specially adapted for wheel chair users and which will enhance tremendously its ability to provide this essential therapy. The Cost of this piece of equipment is £7000 . We want to help with this
R D A horses provide therapy , achievement enjoyment to people with disabilities all over the UK 500 volunteers provide these facilities for up to 28000 people per year R D A offers activities for all age groups and, wherever possible, to people with any disability. The simple pleasure of working with horses is the cornerstone of all RDA’s activities. From that starting point everything else flows – be that freedom of movement, gaining confidence, building relationships, receiving life-enhancing physiotherapy or achieving individual goals. Medical professionals recognise that there are significant therapeutic benefits for the rider. The warmth and three dimensional movement of the horse is transmitted through the rider’s body, gradually making it more relaxed and supple, strengthening core stability, reducing spasms and improving balance, posture and co-ordination.
