School House to the State House

Hello, my name is Ruby Peters, Born in De Ridder, Louisiana 1943 and God has Blessed me with 72 years of Integrity, Widsom and Dignity! Married to the late Major L. Peters (deceased December 15, 2004) for 36 years. He spent 27 years in the United States Army and his death was the result of exposure to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War. I'm a widow with two adult children, Joy & Samuel and four grandchildren. I have spent over 40 years in education, (teacher & school administrator).  Currently serving as President of Professional Educators' Association of Lawton (PEAL) and Fundamentals of Reading Teacher at Central Middle School.

   I'm a candidate for State of Oklahoma House of Representatives, District 62.  My platform is Education, Veteran's Issues, Healthcare (medicaid, medicare, & mental health), Oklahoma Incarceration of Women and School-to Prison Pipeline.

 I 'm seeking donations to help me make a difference in our state house and community. Presently, issues in my platform are not getting the attention needed from current elected officials, because there isn't a voice for them. The Primary Election is June 28th, I'm asking for your support to help get me to the General Election, November 8th. 

Many of the current candidates are supported by people with deep pockets, however I choose to go to the people for support, because that's where my loyalty and work will be conducted. I'm a stakeholder in each issue cited in my platform.
