VHI Mini Marathon

So it's time to get my ass moving, and all for a good cause. Wicklow Hospice Home Care and The Arklow Cancer Support Group are two groups that helped me so much during my diagnosis of ovarian cancer at twenty fours yeard of age. Before my diagnosis and treatment I never really paid much attention to these groups. It was only when I came upon hard times that I truly discovered the selflessness and generosity of the people involved. They use their own time to provide services and aid to people affected by such deadly illnesses. I have no words how helpful these groups were to me during the most challenging time in my life. The Wicklow Hospice Home Care provided me with badly needed financial aid while The Arklow Cancer Support Group gave me a safe haven where I could attend counselling, creative writing classes and even just pop in for a cup of tea and a chat. Having somewhere to go where I could chat to people in similar situations meant the world to me.
Now that I am on the mend, I want to give back to the groups that have helped me out, so that in the future others can avail of the fantastic service I received. I am forever grateful.
I am running/ walking/ crawling the VHI Womens Mini Marathon on the 6th June 2016 to raise money for The Wicklow Hospice Home Care and The Arklow Cancer Support Group.
1 cent, 1 euro, 10 euros... absolutely everything is greatly appreciated. Thank you so so much!!!
