My name is Jennifer (on stage I am Jenna Rose), I am a mother of 5, married to a US Navy sailor and currently residing outside of Seattle, Washington.
My journey began in 2010 when health issues became unbearable and my weight started to go up due to inactivity associated with these health issues. I began looking first into how healing my health problems with food could benefit not only myself but my family as well. As my symptoms began to improve I knew I wanted to not only eat healthy but be fit.
After struggling on my own to tweak my nutrition and follow a fitness plan to achieve my goals, I decided to hire a training and nutrition coach. After working with a coach I started to seriously consider competing in NPC bodybuilding competitions in the bikini division. At this point I decided to give it my all and I joined Tanji Johnson's Save Fitness team.
During the process of this, I wanted to know more, do more, and help others achieve their goals. This led me to achieving a fitness nutrition specialist certification through NASM and start my own online fitness and nutrition coaching business with a partner and personal trainer. I strive continue to build on my education. I am currently enrolled in the Precision Nutrition certification course and will begin pursuing her AS in exercise science through the ISSA CES program. As well she is also a certified Dr. Sears LEAN nutrition coach, a Hoopnotica certified instructor, and a certified RIPPED instructor.
With the cost of continuing education, raising a family, and competing, our budget is very tight. The cost of competing alone can be expensive even when cutting as many corners as possible. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated! I typically spend about $500 per show. Thankfully I already have shoes and suits to wear for each show.
