Madison Beach Preservation

For generations the residents of Madison have enjoyed the tranquil beauty and Southern New England charm of the Madison Shoreline. Many families from all parts of town taught their children to fish from the pier and rocks at West Wharf and have enjoyed its beach and a cooling swim in the Long Island Sound. Today that ability is diminished and the future character and beauty of an important part of the Madison Shoreline is threatened growing commercial activity. The Madison Beach Preservation Association, Inc. was formed to address this threat and has accomplished some clear legal victories. Nevertheless, there is more work to be done and MBPA needs your support.

All funds raised here will go to support the ongoing legal action we've undertaken to require Town of Madison to enforce Madison's Zoning Regulations and to halt the Madison Beach Hotel's expansion of its commercial business within the residentially zoned shoreline park and neighborhood. As you can see on our website, http://www.madisonbeachpreservation.org, we're winning the legal battle to keep the Madison Beach Hotel from further infringing on public Park to further their own commercial interests.

We believe that MBPA efforts are in the interest of everyone who values the unique character of the Madison Shoreline. Indeed, MBPA  work has benefited from the genereous financial support of people from all parts of Madison. We want to give many others the opportunity to join the fight to perserve the the Madison Shoreline from unchecked commercial growth.
