Harmony Road Church Restoration
Harmony Church was organized in the 1840's. The first structure on site was built in 1844. The current structure was built in 1865. It's namesake was derived from a mixed population of Presbyterian and Methodist believers. The name Harmony was created so that both religions could congregate as one. The church congregation moved out in 1989 and the building was slated to be restored and turned into a museum by Jackson Township. Unfortunately, that did not happen and the building has fallen into disrepair over the last 29 years. Cornerstone Presbyterian Church is now leasing the building from Jackson Township and is restoring it to its previous beauty. As with any historical restoration, there are many costs. Please help us to bring this historical building back to life as we celebrate its 150th anniversary! All donations are tax deductible. We appreciate your help and look forward to bringing the community and the congregation back into Harmony.
