Massachusetts Vital Records Project

I'm John Slaughter and for more than 15 years I've been developing a vital records web site, MA Vital Records Project.

I wish to raise the money to help pay the costs associated with my site - hosting fees, membership fees in sites where I need to research, buying research material, paying for programming help.

The money will be used exclusively for the support of the MA Vital Records Project.

I am coming up on renewal of hosting fees. That is the most immediate issue. Without hosting, the web site dies.

Since starting this, it has become almost an obsession. My greatest pleasure comes from hearing from people who have found a long lost ancestor by using my site. I endeavor to make it the best vital records site there is. My site is totally free to anyone who wants to use it. I receive no financial or technical help in its maintenance. There is no advertising on the site and never will be.

Obviously, I'm going to be extremely grateful for the help. However, more importantly, all of the people who use my site will be grateful to the people who help keep this site online.
