Dustins All American Baseball Dream

Hello, friends and family and others receiving this email on their behalf.

I am writing you today to share the wonderful news of my son, Dustin McCormick, being selected to play on the 14U USSSA All American Baseball Team. He recently competed against 300 of the top players in his age group from North California, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, and Washington, for the opportunity to be 1 of 24 players to play in the USSSA All American games representing The American Northwest Region. We found out the good news a few days ago that he was selected to the team. We are so very proud of him after all the hard work and dedication he has shown to this sport over the past few years.

Dustin’s story is one of hard work, dedication, strength, and perseverance. He is truly an All American Kid! He plays baseball for Redmond West Little League, Redmond West All Stars and Rippers Baseball Club based in Redmond WA. He maintains a 3.05 GPA, is a violinist, and is ALWAYS the first one to offer help when needed. He has been extremely supportive of his disabled and medically fragile older brother, and was a pillar of strength during his mother’s treatment for stage 3 breast cancer. Dustin turned to baseball and found a very supportive environment and a great way to find joy through some very dark times. He is well liked by all his teammates, teachers and friends, and is looked to as a leader among his peers.
