To start this story let me tell you about a very healthy 30 year old woman that has 3 young children. She moved to Georgia to give her kids a better way of life. Jackie is a Cosmetologist and has a natural knack for making things prettier.
Originally she felt ill, and thought it was the stomach flu, but after being rushed to the hospital she was diagnostic with Ulcerative Colitis which affects your whole large intestine. Jackie went from being a healthy person to being very sick. The doctors found what they called "the worst case of ulcerative colitis they had seen" and it had already gone septic. This makes the healing very complicated. The disease has not really given her a break and is not responding to all the doctors efforts.
After months of trial and error with medications and multiple blood transfusions and hospital stays, as well as not being able to work, Jackie recently found herself back at the doctor. They promptly admitted her to the ICU as she had gone septic again. Jackie had surgery on July 14, 2016 to have her entire large intestine removed. They will be scheduling a second surgery in three months when her body heals from the first one.
To say the least, Aaron and Jackie live a very modest lifestyle. Aaron goes to work and Jackie is a stay at home mom. Aaron has used all of his paid time off to care for his family. The medical bills are upward of $100,000 and Jackie has been unable to work or manage much at home for their three children.
Jackie is an amazing hard worker and so dedicated to her family.
Our family appreciates all of the prayers and thoughts that all of you have shared thus far. Unfortunately, finances now are adding to the families stresses. Thank you for reading this far and for caring about Jackie, Aaron and their family. Anything you give of any amount will be appreciated and used solely to help the Fox family in this extreme time of need.
Thank you, Alissa (Aaron's sister)
