The Rione Sante Marie is one of the four Rioni that organize the Festival of the Grape of Impruneta. The Festival reaches an important anniversary this year: the ninetieth.
Impruneta is located between the Chianti hills and the wonderful cradle of the renaissance that is Florence.
Every year we choose a different theme but the important thing is that the main character is the Grape.
The story the story is developed on three parade float through scenographical constructions, clothes and choreography. All this is done by about 300 rionali that every night in their local headquarters they start to work: sewing, dancing, cooking, weld, painting throughout September... There are so many activities to do to try to lift the trophy on the last Sunday of September.
You want to know who are rionali?
The rionali are children, teenagers, adults and elderly people, all volunteers, with the goal of do a good job not underestimate the light-hearted fun that characterizes us.
To make a parade is very expensive and self-funding is the only way. For this year we try to do something new... If you want to contribute to the realization of the project this year is really sufficient a small gesture that for us, on the contrary, it will be enormous. Every euro donated by you will be used to finance the project. Until the day of the Festival we can not reveal much about the project because there is a lot competitiveness between Rioni; we can give you a small preview. Our project this year will speak of a personality born in our beautiful land, Tuscany: Leonardo da Vinci and his biggest dream.

Il Rione Sante Marie è uno dei 4 Rioni che organizza la Festa dell'Uva di Impruneta giunta quest'anno ad un importante anniversario: il novantesimo.
L'impruneta è incastonata tra le colline del Chianti e la splendida culla del rinascimento che è Firenze.
Ogni anno scegliamo un tema diverso con un unico filo conduttore: l'uva. La storia viene sviluppata su tre carri allegorici attraverso costruzioni scenografiche, abiti e coreografie. Il tutto è orchestrato da circa 300 rionali che ogni sera, per tutto il mese di Settembre, si ritrovano nella propria sede rionale e si mettono a lavorare: cucire, ballare, cucinare, saldare, dipingere... Sono tante le attività da fare per cercare di alzare la coppa l'ultima domenica di Settembre.
Volete sapere chi sono rionali?
I rionali sono bambini, ragazzi, adulti e anziani, tutti volontari, che con l'obiettivo di fare un buon lavoro non sottovalutano il divertimento scanzonato che ci contraddistingue.
Riuscire a realizzare una sfilata è molto costoso e l'autofinanziamento è l'unica via. Per questo quest'anno proviamo a fare una cosa nuova... Se volete contribuire alla realizzazione del progetto di quest'anno basta davvero un piccolo gesto che per noi, al contrario, sarà enorme. Ogni euro donato verrà utilizzato per il finanziamento del progetto. Fino a che non arriviamo alla data della festa non possiamo svelare molto sul progetto data l'alta competività che c'è tra Rioni; una piccola anticipazione possiamo darvela. Il nostro progetto quest'anno riguarderà una personalità nativa della nostra bellissima terra, la Toscana: Leonardo da Vinci e il suo sogno più grande.
