We are the Bay Area healthy Living and Support and Communication Platform ( BayHeal). We are doing business as:
1. Black, African, Atlantic and Indian ocean Islands-born Immigrants' Resource (BLAIR).
2. African, Atlantic and Indian ocean Islands-born Immigrants HIV Prevention USA ( AIM Prevention USA).
Our headquarter is at San Francisco and we are a national organization.
The United States has provided opportunities for immigrant communities to organize themselves as spaces for resilience, thriving and livelihood. The African, Atlantic and Indian Oceans island-born immigrants will contribute to planning or bringing on board culturally and linguistically dimensions that address their perspectives. This will help modify service provision and demand.
Recent developments from November 2016 to date have put our work supporting immigrant self determination in a more relevant position.
We kindly need funds to help us maintain an office and resource center. We intended to write a report and a grant proposal to be presented to the Federal and State governments to support this cause. However, it is clear immigrants may not be a priority. We now turn to your kind support.
African, Atlantic and Indian Oceans island-born immigrants need to be empowered to drive the conversation taking place now around immigrant self determination, inequities, inequalities and disparities please.
