The Last Watch Memorial

Thank you for checking out my page. My name is Andrew Dean and I'm working on my Eagle Scout project. My focus is to honor the many first responders in San Mateo County who have paid the ultimate price to keep us safe everyday.
To accomplish this task, I have designed a community water fountain to be installed on a well-traveled corner in South San Francisco. The pastor at the First Baptist Church has given me permission to install the water fountain memorial in front of the church at the corner of Magnolia and Grand. It will be situated across the street from the Magnolia Senior Center. This location promises that the Memorial will be easily accessible to all San Mateo County residents.
The money raised will be used to purchase the equipment and materials such as the fountain itself, wood and gravel needed for the installation, necessary tools to complete the project and any piping to connect the Memorial to the appropriate water supply. The labor for this project will be completed by the Boy Scouts of America, Troop #72 from San Bruno, California.
To meet the timeline for this Eagle project, we are looking to install the fountain memorial during the months of September and October, so we are beginning our fund raising activities today and hope to raise the monies needed by the end of August.
As you may have concluded, I believe that our first responders deserve our respect and honor. In addition to recognizing those in my community, I want to also honor the many members of my family who are first responders including my grandfather who is a retired Sheriff, my grandmother who was military police and hospital security, my father who was a patrolman as well as my aunt and two uncles who are currently police officers.
I appreciate your support and donations for this worthy cause. No donation is too small and all donations will be used to ensure that this project is built to do its job: honor our everyday heroes.
