*UPDATE* WE MET ARE ORIGINAL GOAL IN HELPING MIKE AND HIS FAMILY OUT SO I HAVE EXTENDED THE GOAL. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS HELPED SO FAR. YOU GUYS ARE TRULY GREAT
Most of you know Mike Seal from the local racing scene in Virginia and MABRA and if you've done a ride in the Williamsburg area, you've most likely run into him. Mike was a teammate for a brief time earlier this year until it made more sense for him to join Carytown Bicycles as he lived closer to that group. We don't hold that against him.
Mike was admitted to the hospital a week or so ago after experiencing severe knee pain. They discovered clotting and diagnosed him with popliteal artery entrapment syndrome. They tried to bypass that section of artery behind the knee to restore blood flow to the rest of the leg but were unsuccessful. He had another surgery tonight to remove his lower leg in an above-knee amputation.
Mike and his family have been hit with huge medical bills, and anything to help would be appreciated.
