As a hairdresser most of you know I have been working forward in my career to advance to a level to stand out from the rest. I have many amazing opportunities to learn at the Redken Exchange in New York from many world renowned stylist and their knowledge. I have always had a passion for hairdressing as well as photography. The Redken exchange offers a photofinishing class that I will work along side professionals that will be able to teach me the ends and outs of what is goes into a cover shot. This is and amazing opportunity that gives me the chance to use both of my talents and push myself to the next level.
A lot of my education is part of my own drive and dedication and also my own pocketbook, as these classes can become very expensive. Though, worth every penny I am starting this fund to help me achieve my goals and dreams in a more timely fashion. As I continue to brand myself as a Redken stylist the level of education I learn will be brought back to benefit my salon and be shared with my fellow stylist.
Photo Finishing: behind the scenes
This is a 3 day workshop that will equip me with the knowledge to learn the how to's of getting started in the editorial styling and start building my work book. I will be learning and researching a collaboration of modern, vintage and influential looks and photographers. As if in a photo shoot setting I will be working on my own professional models along side a photographer, makeup artist and wardrobe stylist to create my unique looks. These images will just be the begin of my own professional portfolio and it will continue to grow with the knowledge I gain through the experience of this class.
