Help Jerry Anderson Fight Cancer!

Our friend...
Jerry Anderson - Yosemite climber, Professional Guide, PSIA Ski Instructor / Examiner, ASCA Volunteer and prolific new routaineer - needs your help. Jerry is battling a cancer that has invaded his spine, damaged nerves, limited his mobility and causes a lot of pain. We'd like to help him get back on his feet.

Jerry's bones have been weakened but his resolve is strong! At 68 years young, doctors are optimistic about treatment that has begun with neurosurgery - to remove a lesion and stabilize his spine. Other treatments will follow and physical therapy is sure to be part of the plan. Prognosis is good but recovery will take a long time... Jerry has been challenging himself (as he always does) to make daily gains towards a positive outcome.

Chances are you've climbed a route in Yosemite that Jerry and wife Sigrid have put up, taken a ski class from one of them (or daughter Lynnea) or have been lucky enough to be entertained by one of Jerry's guided tours. Jerry is a natural teacher - and giver - sharing his knowledge, experience and love of nature and mountains with everyone he meets.
