A Chance At Life

Hello! My name is Chance. I am a 4 week old Pitbull puppy and I was born with a serious pelvic birth defect. The people who had me before my mommy and daddy said they couldn't take care of me because I couldn't walk on my hind legs. They thought I had no hope so they were going to put me to sleep. He found my mommy and daddy and daddy came and got me. Daddy took me to the ASPCA to see if they could help me and they said no. They were also going to put me to sleep if daddy left me there. Thankfully Mommy & Daddy decided to dedicate themselves to me and my recovery. They took me to a vet immediately and I got dewormed and we spoke to the vet about if I would ever have a chance to walk for the first time. The veterinarian said I would likely never get to walk. My deformity is to severe. They want me to see a specialist who can get a better look at my bone structure and at whats really going on. This specialist cost a lot of money. It's going to take a lot of money to fully know what's going on with me, which my mom and dad are wanting to do anything and everything they can to help me. Which is why we are asking all of you to help too. I need lots of love and care and my mommy and daddy are doing the best they can to help me have a long, happy & healthy life. For now I need to see this specialist and see about some sort of physical therapy to strengthen my legs. Eventually I will also need a wheelchair so that I can play with my brother and sister finally!

Hello! My name is Lauren Couch. My wife Kristin and I have taken Chance under our loving and caring wings to help give him the best life possible. No one wanted to give Chance a chance at life. A lot of people said that we should just put him to sleep. We didn't have the heart to do that. We spoke with a Vet and asked the most important questions. Thankfully, Chance is not in pain. He does have a chance at living a full, quality life. That is just up to us to decide that. Chance is the sweetest little baby. He loves to cuddle and play with us. He is very strong also. When he eats he likes to lift himself up off the ground and almost does a handstand! I want to do everything I can to ensure little Chance has a great life and the vet care he deserves.
