Help me raise funds for my 14-year old step son Dameon to earn three college credits by taking an educational trip to Europe for 10-days!
Next summer, my step son's Latin Class will be taking a WorldStrides Educational Student Tour of France and Italy. The tour includes some of the most famous landmarks, museums, and cultural highlights of Paris, Provence, Monaco, Cote d'Azur, Florence, Rome, and more. They will stay in centrally located hotels, dine on authentic local cuisine, and experience the local sights, sounds, tastes, and culture of the region in a way only WorldStrides, with over 50-years of educational touring experience, can provide.
WorldStrides tours are led by local expert guides, and include interactive learning experiences such as cooking gourmet European meals, debating Renaissance philosophy, learning the basics of Gladiatorial combat, and more to help immerse the students in the international learning experience.
In addition, students will be able to earn three college credits offered through the University of California at San Diego for taking part.
Dameon is an Honors High School Student in the Biotech Magnet Program, as well as a Boy Scout First Class, Assistant Patrol Leader, and Air Force JROTC Airman. His interests include art, reading, camping, hiking, kayaking, flying, and target practice.
This once-in-a-lifetime educational travel experience runs from June 19th through June 28th, 2017. A deposit fee of $300 is due by September 28th, 2016, and the full cost of the trip is due by May 31st, 2017.
An opportunity like this will likely never happen again, and it would mean so much to him and to our entire family if he were able to attend. He will learn more about the world and about himself in 10-days than most young people learn in a lifetime, and get a strong head start on his college career.
