The Weerama Festival Committee is busy planning for the 2017 festival.
We need your support!
The Weerama Festival is Wyndham's largest community festival. The main purpose of this event is to showcase local culture, talent, skills and creativity: it aims to promote local groups, societies, clubs and organizations; it aims to contribute to the forging of a local identity and the festival aims at providing an opportunity for Wyndham’s diverse community to come together and participate in a host of exciting, interesting and fun activities.
The Weerama weekend is one time a year all community groups, clubs and business come together for a weekend of community displays, carnival and music.
It is quite expensive to put on this event. Sponsors have played a large part in generously contributing to the festival through various sponsorship packages. Weerama has also heavily relied on funding from Wyndham Council which has become more difficult to secure in recent years. Wyndham Council will not be assisting the Weerama Festival Committee for the 2017 festival so this is where the committee NEEDS YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT. We can make 2017 the best festival yet.
