Supplies for Standing Rock

I've been deeply moved by the bravery of Native Americans in North Dakota taking a peaceful stand for their land, water, and sacred rights under the US Treaty. Beyond having to fight for their rights, they are fighting for all our rights, Americans' rights to clean water, sacred sites, and putting human interests above corporate interests.This is no easy task, powerful investors are paying to have local law enforcement and private militants abuse power, and abuse the peaceful water protectors who have been there since July, only recently receiving National Press coverage. They are sadly on the wrong side of history on this.Veterans are amassing from all wars, all over the country to help them in early December, as our Indigenous brothers and sisters need more help, quickly. A deadline is fast approaching that has escalated the abuse, and it's now snowing there...conditions are harsh.So, what can we do? Tell the truth, share, pray, call upon those in power to act, and support those on the front lines in making their stand and telling their truth.

On #givingtuesday #dayofgiving I launched this Go Fund Me to initially send supplies, then with the ACoE Permit denial and so many supply donations that poured in (temporarily had more than they could handle) I considered shifting this donation's funds to the legal defense fund of peaceful protestors wrongly accused and arrested... but was informed by Go Fund Me admin that I can't do that, it's against their rules.  So, while I feel it's not the best call, for the purpose of this Go Fund Me campaign, I've shifted the monies collected here back to my original plan and just sent them much needed supplies to keep warm and dry.  

Many are still out there, conditions are harsh, and the wave of supplies has slowed since December, so they are again in need.
