Stephen's funeral fund

Stephen and Donna met in 2009, just as she had started a 3 year nursing course. Through those 3 years Stephen provided support to both Donna and her 2 daughters (Alice and Ellie). Stephen was a friendly and chatty man, even with strangers. He unfortunately had a battle that no one could see, that he kept close to his heart and didn’t let it show regardless of how he was feeling on the inside.



Stephen Mellor sadly lost the battle he was trying to fight within himself. Only he knew what he was thinking when he decided to take his own life on the 23rd September 2015, only 13 days after World Suicide Prevention Day. This go fund me page is being set up to support our friend Donna, and the loved ones he left behind. He has left our dear friend the saddest task of organising his funeral. This page is not only being set up in the hopes of helping with funds but also to put some aside for his 17 year old son Callum’s future.

We also hope to raise awareness of suicide prevention in the hopes that anyone who feels they need support can find it whether they are at risk or suicide or someone who is bereaved by suicide.

The Samaritans are there for those in emotional distress, unable to cope or risk of suicide – we are also looking to donate a percentage of the total raised to the Samaritans in memory of Stephen and those who they have helped and will help in the future.
