3D Printing Bricks for tOSU
Around The Ohio State University's beautiful Columbus campus, sidewalk bricks just...go missing. I try to solve the problem with 3D printing. For the past week, I have been printing bricks with witty quotes and jokes for the enjoyment (and safety) of others. Unfortunately, as more normal bricks go missing and as my own bricks disappear as well, I can not meet the demand. I need your help to purchase filament for the next four or five weeks. Your support will help me and the Ohio State community as the semester comes to a close. Together we can reduce tripping hazards and give people a moment of enjoyment every day from seeing something as simple as a brick. I am just grateful to be able to provide a little light in the darkness that looms with finals week and the end of the semester. Thanks for your support and GO BUCKS!
It takes between 6 and 16 hours to print a single brick at 5% infill.
See the sponsor rewards for how you can help specifically. All brick text submissions may not be offensive or political and I have the final say.
That's pretty much it but if you love me...
For $1000 you cover the cost of a second 3D printer. I will print you whatever you want (within reason) and you get to submit and sponsor any bricks you want (still nothing offensive or political, I have final say). You can keep your bricks and I'll print you personal copies as well.
At the end of the day, I'll take what I can get. Every little bit helps.
*Please note: sponsor rewards will only be available until 25 April 2017.
**I would like to reiterate that I make ZERO profit from donations. All funds directly contribute to the manufacture of bricks
***Please note: your sponsored brick may not be available for reclaiming by the end of the day. As we live on a college campus, I can not guarantee that your brick will remain in place throughout the day. Please understand that this is beyond my control.
