My Name is commonly LeeLee or Lee to some. I am 38 years old. I am a partial-para Wheelchair Girl who lives on a low end poverty level income for a reason. Sadly, my physical health requires more attention than a nine to five. In fact, it is a nine to five twenty four seven.
Interestingly, I have said since the age of 17 that I believed at the age of 40 I would have some medical issues. Age is not the primary reason, but the body has a resilience which does change.
Unfortunately, I have Myasthenia Gravis which is an auto-immune disorder falling under the muscular dystrophy type family. I also have scoliosis, acute pain, herniated discs, anemia, type II diabetes, high blood pressure, nausea, prolonged QT, osteo, yellow marrow (more on this at some point) and other health problems. A lot of medical help is covered, but (as I am sure you know) there are other kinds of help which are more diligent, and are not as easily covered. Sometimes covering basic needs is the most important - it's recovering from there most people in my position want to do.
I was recently involved in a car on wheelchair accident which I am still trying to recover from. The cab driver was ill consistent with even letting me call the police (I'm sure for a reason also sadly.) With this came injuries to myself, and my chair which I am working to recover.
I am an artist, and my face may be familiar for making waves even scarily. I happen to love making art (in all forms) available to the masses which is part of my cause. Making my art is paramount in all ways to my recovery also - supplies are also in this fund if not, but for, mental health reasons alone.
Everything from lysol, to wet wipes, to wheelchair repairs are things I will ALWAYS need let alone what I will SOMETIMES need. I have one of the rarest neuro-muscular disorders in the book (let alone auto-immune.) I was diagnosed at 17. I have managed to live in, and out of remission until this point.
Any help would be appreciated (not that I ask often, but some people WANT to know HOW they CAN help :) this is a charitable gift - not donation for various reasons -
