Tory Thomas Back Surgery & Building

Donation protected

We have an opportunity to help a kind, loving man that is always serving others. On August 12,2015, Tory Thomas fell and broke his back while helping some friends. He had surgery to fuse 5 vertebrae. Thankfully he's not paralyzed but he won't be able to work for at least 3-6 months and then take it easy for another 6 months. That's where we can help.

He's an amazing mechanic and owns Rigby Auto Service. He'll be unable to fix cars for about 6-12 months but will be able to help with the managerial end of things once he gets up and around in a few months. Work has slowed down a lot and they need more vehicles in the shop! Tory has a very capable, kind staff that can get the work done if they can just have vehicles to work on. They're having a big customer appreciation day on Friday, August 21 from 2:00-6:00 pm to celebrate 16 years in business with special discount coupons, face painting, jumping castle, nachos, and with door prizes provided by their sponsors. More details on their website rigbyautoservice.com. Help spread the word and lets get them more business in the shop.

At night and on weekends when Tory wasn't working on cars he was building a big new dance studio for his wife's business. She owns The Dance Conservatory rigbydanceconservatory.com and offers ballet, ballroom and Irish step dance lessons to children and teens. She has amazing teachers that work with her, and they outgrew the small studio they've been using. The new studio that Tory was building needs to be ready for classes to start the end of August. Local friends and family members have offered to help finish the studio. With their limited funds Tory was doing most of the work himself, and planning on finishing the studio in phases - with the first phase still needing steel on the roof, windows, doors, lights and ceiling fans installed, and the dance floor installed by the end of August. The insulation, sheet rock, heater, outdoor lighting, siding, cement and gravel were going to be finished before winter, as funds became available.

Tory is always doing kind things for friends, neighbors, and family members including his wife, five children and son-in-law. He has a heart of gold and a strong work ethic. Let's help this amazing man and fill up his shop with work for his mechanics to do so he can support his family. Let's also help them finish the dance studio so classes can start and the studio can be ready for winter. They've been living on a shoestring budget putting everything they had into growing their businesses and building the studio.

We are asking for help to supplement their income, finish the dance studio, and help with medical costs.  Tory is a wonderful, kind man and we are grateful for any donations we can give his family.
