A New Dawn For Dawn.

After beating breast cancer in 2004 and then being diagnosed with Crohns Disease (2011) and auto immune Graves Disease (2012) my wife Dawn thought it couldn't get any worse,but in the summer of 2015 she began having frequent pain behind the eyes,in the face and mouth. After ENT scans ruled out sinusitis,her blood test showed up antibodies for another auto immune disease called Sjogrens Syndrome,which plays havoc with her prexisting long standing dry eye condition. In early 2016 she developed tinnitus,severe neck pain coupled with facial nerve pain,it really has been a life changer,despite a nerve conduction test,MRI scans of her head and spine and X Rays of the jaw and face all coming back 'normal' she still suffered. By Christmas 2016 the pains had gotten much worse,affecting her trapezius muscle,lower back and upper arms,we called 111 and 9 that she should go to her local GP for yet more referrals. She has seen physiotherapists, osteopaths and had more teeth extracted but all to no avail. We are coming up to two years of this,and she is at breaking point,she has no quality of life and can't eat sometimes for days due to the pain. After endless research online and talking to NHS dentists,we have come to the conclusion that her missing teeth and bad fitting denture plate has caused such a bad bite for so long now that the jaw is under intense long term strain which has damaged her facial nerves and neck muscles,causing chronic referred pain,which the NHS can't help us with anymore. So we now desperately need to see a private Neuromuscular Dentist for orthodontic treatment but the prices are brutal for us,we live in the UK so they are sparse,but available. Any donation no matter how small will be enormously helpful in my wife's quest for a normal pain free life again,and we would be eternally grateful. Many thanks for reading this story.
