Help and Prayers For Jr
Donation protected
My son, Demayne Jr was born May 30th, 2013 with several very rare and complex defects, most of which effect his heart. At 4 days old Junior had his first surgery which was to place a colostomy. At 2 weeks old he had his first major heart surgery. The week following his heart surgery he had 6 episodes of cardiac arrest and somehow pulled through. On July 29th he was finally discharged from the hospital and took the 2 hour journey to get to finally come home.
Unfortunately that was just the beginning of our journey. On August 14th, Jr will have his 3rd surgery and will once again be in the Hospital. Following this surgery, he will have another in November, and then one again in Spring.
Due to the severity of his condition, I (mom) had to regrettably leave the workforce to take care of him. I'm very glad to be able to spend so much time with my little one, but the loss of my income has taken a toll on our family. In addition to new prescriptions, specialist co-pays, and long stays in a hospital/hotel, our family still has monthly bills to manage.
Even if you cannot make a donation, we ask that you take the time to say a prayer for our little fighter and keep us in your thoughts and hearts. All acts of kindness are greatly appreciated and will help us to better care for our miracle.
His conditions are imperforate anus, VACTERAL syndrome, TAPVR, Transposition of the great vessels, Double outlet right ventricle, Heterotaxy, Asplenia, and Malrotation of his intestines. Each day he is with us is a blessing and each contribution made will allow us to continue to shower him with all of the love and affection he deserves without being so stressed out.
