Ambulance Fund for Rural Clinic
Tax deductible
People in the rural areas of Zimbabwe have limited access to
health care because hospitals and clinics simply don't have the resources to
cater to the medical needs of the communities they serve. Having access to an ambulance means life or death in the rural areas where people die needlessly just because they have no means of getting to a hospital.
In
2009 the Tekeshe Foundation(www.tekeshe.org) donated an ambulance to Rimbi community Clinic in Chipinge Zimbabwe.
We are sad to announce that the ambulance was involved in a car accident. This was the only ambulance which operated in the Rimbi clinic catchment area with approximately 10,000 people. Many lives were saved by the ambulance. To date, the ambulance transported numerous patients with life threating conditions ranging from child birth complications, strokes to snake bites. Without an ambulance many people will lose their lives needlessly. We need to raise $6,000 to purchase another ambulance
