Feed the Front liners in Durham.!
All over this country, medical workers and other essential businesses that are serving us day to day during this pandemic.They are putting their lives on the line to care for the victims of Covid-19. They work long hours, risk infection both of themselves and their loved ones, and often don’t have the time or energy to care for themselves at a moment when their continued good health is essential to the health and well-being of the entire country.
At the same time, our local communities, particularly our restaurants, have been hit hard by the essential shelter-in-place orders that have been instituted to try and flatten the curve. . The future of community based restaurants and other local small businesses are in doubt as they have had to lay off workers and close stores because there is not enough takeout business to sustain normal operations.
Here is our plan: We would like to start with Duke Medical Network front line medical workers in area hospitals. If the need continues into June, and we can keep this rolling, we will! but we need your help to fund this operation.
For just $10, you can send a delicious meal to front line medical workers and support staff.
Whatever amount you can give would be useful and appreciated, but we’re aiming for 25 meals per delivery.
