Support The Guthries

Drake Guthrie is battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia for the second time in his two short years of life! From October 2012, to March 2013, he underwent 4 rounds of chemotherapy, 95% of that time was inpatient stays in the hospital. He came home cancer free! Five months later, his cancer relapsed, requiring him to receive a bone marrow transplant. He went through 1 round of chemo at our local hospital in Des Moines, and we were transferred to the University of Minnesota, Amplatz Children's Hospital to receive his transplant.

Here, he will go through 7 days of chemotherapy that will wipe out his entire bone marrow, followed by receiving a stem cell transplant from 2 cord bloods from 2 different babies saved umbilical cords.


We have set up this account to help with medical costs, travel expenses, and any other necessities that may come our way during our 100 day stay in Minnesota.
