We Are Gowanus Defend the 'hood Fund

We Are Gowanus is an organization of concerned neighbors on the Gowanus / Boerum Hill / Carroll Gardens neighborhoods of Brooklyn, NY.

WE ARE RAISING FUNDS to prevent the development of a large live music venue in a residentially zoned block at the corner of Degraw and Bond Streets.

The proposed development will feature live music 7 nights a week until 4am in a neighborhood surrounded by single family homes and small children.

The development represents an illegal use of zoning regulations.


We Are Gowanus is bringing the matter to court to prevent this detrimental commercial use from being permitted on this residential block.

PLEASE HELP US stop this development in our neighborhood and the precedent it would set for streets west of the Gowaus canal.
