Living with cancer is not easy

Hello! My name is Kristin MacFarland.On November 17th 2011, I was given the news that shook my whole world. I was told I had Cancer. I never would have thought that at 23 I would be getting a phone call telling me this. I felt like my life was just beginning, I just got married to the love of my life on November 5th 2011. This was not the fresh start I imagined for us! I was told that i had a rare cancer called Medullary thyroid cancer and unfortunately the cancer had already spread to several other places in my body. It has been quite a journey so far for not only me but my Husband and family as well. Due to some complications from surgery and also thinking about the challenges in front of me I could no longer keep my job. The financial burden has been a struggle for Jon and I throughout my sickness. It has been a challange to keep up with bills,groceries, & just every day expenses in general. My husband has been working extremely hard and does his best to support us. Our families have helped us as much as they can and it is truely a blessing. Life with cancer isn't easy in any way. I have no idea what the future holds for us.I would love to be able with your help to have a bit of a cushion financially to be able to take some stress and burden off of my Husband,parents,and siblings.I have recently switched insurances and unfortunately do not have as good of coverage as before...we have already started recieving bills for Dr visits, scans and also my medication coverage is not as good either. I know this is going to be an ongoing financial burden due to the fact of constantly getting scans and refilling medications. Any help from donations or giftcards (groceries,gas etc)would be so wonderful and would mean so much to my Husband, family and I! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.❤
I also just want to thank all of you for your continued love, support, smiles, hugs, laughs and so much more during this journey I am on. You have all not only supported meand my fight but have supported my wonderful Husband and my amazing family. I couldn't do it without all of you and you all mean the world to me. I ask for continued prayers for strength,guidance & healing from Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Continue to keep me and my family in your prayers for peace of mind and to keep us strong and continue to keep fighting against this ugly thing many of us know as cancer.
